My Hot Summer TV Shows List

So as I was sitting at work, I thought to myself wow you've watched a lot of shows this summer Shelbie, you should probably get your life together and do something actually productive. But jokes on you world! I'm turning my lazy days into productivity! Like literally I binge a whole series in one day... but it's fine because I take it as an accomplishment.. But anway! This summer brought out the ultimate teenage self in me, but also the darker(ish) side. So here's my summer top 10 tv shows!

1. The Bold Type

This show. Oh. My. Gosh. Obsessed is an understatement. First off, I am living my life vicariously through Jane..and Sutton...and shoot might as well Kat too! I love them all. It's set in New York, which hello, alter ego life where u at.
It's inspired by the life on Joanna Coles, editor in chief of Cosmopolitan and it's just great. Bringing real life situations in a fictional way. And can we talk about Melora Hardin? She is killing it.

2. Girlboss

 

Finished this series in 2 days. (Would have been 1 but yo girl had to work) But this show is about how the online boutique NastyGal started and I loved the site nasty gal so I obvi had to watch. Chloe is an amazing girl boss in this series and season 2 cannot come fast enough.

4. Siesta key

So this show I stumbled upon while browsing on demand, and my friend Joyce and I go to Siesta Key beach anytime we go to the beach together, so I was shook when I found out this was filmed in my state, and where I go. It's def a teenage drama reality show (& fun fact produced by laguna beach producers, like hello, Hills fans where ya at) but it's just too cool to see anything on TV that you've been to. And I'm hooked on all this teen drama!

5. Ozark

Now this one is not my typical Shelbie show, but I love it. It's more on the darker side, and only has one season so far, but if you like breaking bad or any crime shows, you'll love Ozark.

6. Atypical

This is one of many I've finished in a day. It's heartfelt and quirky. I might have cried but it's fine because I cry at everything.

7. House of Cards

House of Cards I'm still watching, but it's oh so good, and I'm hooked.

8. Gracie and Frankie

Ya know those shows you fall asleep to every night, add this one to your list. It's cute, it's quirky, and you'll fall in love with their relationship.

9. Bachelor in Paradise

My monday nights were not the same without the Bachelor, and thank you paradise for filling that void.

10. Friends From College

I love a good random Netflix find that I finish in 2 or 3 days. It's witty, romantic, and hysterical. A must binge.
